We understand the need for mutual support for Change Agents. To address this need, we offer 13/30 Chats, a bimonthly virtual event.
Who is the space for? Change agents: People who are seeking or making change in their neighborhoods, organizations, communities (however you define those), or selves. What is the purpose of the space? To build mutual care and support networks for serving the multitude of needs arising for change agents; including unpacking and improving one’s anti-oppression practices. Those in attendance may gain or provide emotional and practical support for the barriers or challenges we all face in our respective work, and encouragement in claiming successes or advances. “Is this for me?” - Are you stuck in your own anti-oppression unpacking process? - Are you feeling discouraged in your professional or volunteer justice and equity-oriented efforts? - Are you in need of informal feedback about your justice and equity-oriented ideas or work? - Do you want to share about and celebrate justice and equity-oriented advances (yours or others)? If any of the above apply to you - then 13/30 IS for you! This can be a re-energizing space if your own social justice work and efforts are leaving you depleted or feeling stagnant.
